This Saturday’s Movie In The Park, The Incredible Shrinking Man

This is Orson Welles Speaking, I just saw the impossible happen before my astounded eyes.  I saw a man grow smaller and smaller day by day.  I saw the loneliest and most frightened creature on Earth living a nightmare in a world of giants.” – Orson Welles

I’ll bet you Orson never had the chance to witness the b-movie campiness of Scott Carey‘s The Incredible Shrinking Man and all of its glory in a futuristic 2010 San Francisco foggy park setting though.  What a loser.  This Saturday, October 2nd,  you don’t have to be a loser like Orson Welles was, because you get to bear witness to the same imagery that shocked the late filmmaker at an outdoor screening in the park.  Eat that, fatman!

It doesn’t matter if you are coming to marvel at the astonishing special effects, or the couple who are inappropriately making out on the blanket in front of you, what matters is that you show up at The Presidio before 7pm.  Heck, get there before 5pm and you’ll even be treated to the Disney silly short, The Skeleton Dance.  That’s 2 films for the price of… Free!  See you Saturday.

Hit the jump for directions to the park and to see the hypnotizing trailer for Buried, I mean The Incredible Shrinking Man.

Directions: The location is near Moraga Avenue and Arguello Avenue.  Park on the Main Post and follow signs to Film In The Park.  You can’t miss it.  It’s near the Persidio Bowling Center, if that helps.
