New To San Francisco Theaters Starting Friday, September 23rd

Kamikaze ghost pilots, raw milk enthusiasts, Pearl Jam, a tubby Frenchman sporting blue overalls, and Black Power! What do all these things have in common? Footage shot by a group of Swedish journalists documenting the Black Power Movement in the United States.

City of Life and Death (Opera Plaza Cinemas & UA Stonestown Twin)

In 1937 Japan laid siege to Chinese capital of Nanking, this is a dramatization of the battle.

Farmageddon (Roxie Theater)

A documentary about people all over the country who formed food co-ops and private clubs to get raw milk and real food from farms, and how they were raided by state and local governments.

My afternoons With Margueritte (Embarcadero Center Cinema)

An illiterate and lonely man bonds with an older and well-read woman.

Pearl Jam Twenty (One Week Only!)(Balboa Theatre)

A documentary on the band Pearl Jam that marks their 20th anniversary in the year 2011.

Restless (Embarcadero Center Cinema)

The story of a terminally ill teenage girl who falls for a boy who likes to attend funerals and their encounters with the ghost of a Japanese kamikaze pilot from WWII.
