Teaser Trailer For Paul Thomas Anderson’s New Film, The Master

Anyone else chomping at the bits to see Paul Thomas Anderson‘s latest film?  While we wait for the October 16th release date to see my most anticipated film of the year in its entirety, at least now we have a peek as to what we can expect, as if we don’t already know this film is going to be outstanding.  From what I could tell, we can expect to once again have a jaw dropping cinematic experience, and another potential American classic on our hands.

Okay, maybe my praise for The Master is a tad bit premature, but judging from the tone of this trailer, and from PTA’s already proven and almost flawless filmography (There Will Be Blood, Punch Drunk Love, Magnolia, Boogie Nights, Hard Eight) can you blame me?

The film’s official synopsis is “A 1950s-set drama centered on the relationship between a charismatic intellectual known as “the Master” whose faith-based organization begins to catch on in America, and a young drifter who becomes his right-hand man.”

Also, anyone else excited to see Joaquin Phoenix back on the silver screen?
