New to San Francisco Theatres Starting Friday, November 23rd

Love affairs, depleting glaciers, daisies, the master of suspense, a fighting Jack Frost, the life of PI a bunch of CGI animals, and a week-long Castro sing-a-long.  What do all these people have in common?  They’re all featured in new films opening this week in San Francisco.  Follow the jump to what these films actually are and where you can see them

The Big Picture (Embarcadero Center Cinema)

Paul Exben is a success story – partner in one of Paris’s most exclusive law firms, big salary, big house, glamorous wife and two sons straight out of a Gap catalog. But when he finds out that Sarah, his wife, is cheating on him with Greg, a local photographer, a rush of blood provokes Paul into a fatal error.

Chasing Ice (Embarcadero Center Cinema)

Follow National Geographic photographer James Balog across the Arctic as he deploys time-lapse cameras designed for one purpose: to capture a multi-year record of the world’s changing glaciers.

The Comedy (Roxie Theatre)

Daisies (Roxie Theatre)

Life of Pi (AMC Van Ness/Century San Francisco/Sundance Kabuki Cinemas/Presidio Theatre/CineArts @ Empire/Balboa Theatre)

A young man who survives a disaster at sea is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While cast away, he forms an unexpected connection with another survivor … a fearsome Bengal tiger.
