November Poll Results: Best Daniel Day-Lewis Movie

1-There-Will-Be-BloodThe results of last month’s poll are in, and I have to say, I am shocked.  Just kidding.  Actually, it’s not surprising in the least that the majority of people would choose There Will Be Blood as their favorite Daniel Day-Lewis movie.  Not to take anything away from any of his other great performances, but with the exception of Nine (which, surprisingly didn’t end up with the least amount of votes), the man has been smashing acting homers left and right.  Aside from Lincoln, which was not featured in the poll because the movie wasn’t out when the poll was created, There Will Be Blood is DDL’s most recent acclaimed performance.  Could that be the reason he won the poll, or could it just be that he is that damn good at playing a driven oil tycoon with a penchant for milkshakes?

Do you agree with the way the voting turned out?  Check out the poll results after the jump.

  1. There Will be Blood – 31.43%
  2. Gangs of New York – 20%
  3. The Last of the Mohicans – 14.92%
  4. In the Name of the Father – 11.43%
  5. My Left Foot – 8.57%
  6. The Unbearable Lightness of Being – 5.71%
  7. Nine – 5.71%
  8. My Beautiful Laundrette  – 2.86%
  9. A Room with a View – 0%
  10. The Boxer – 0%

I am a hypocrite. I voted for TWBB, and yet…I’m very sad to see that no one voted for Room With a View??!?! He was absolutely HILARIOUS as Cecil. I remember being 17, watching that in English class, and thinking, “Who is THAT GUY? He’s awesome!! He’s the MAN!!” Indeed.

Also, The Boxer should have gotten at least one vote
