The ABC’s of Death Review – All 26 of Them!

abcsofdeath1I certainly have written some dorkish reviews before, but this next one might be the dorkiest one of them all. I give you my alphabetical review of The ABC’s of Death, a conceptual horror anthology in where 26 directors each came up with a different short film to represent each letter of the alphabet.

two-stars1A is for Apocalypse (Dir. Nacho Vigalondo), or A is for Atrocious CGI accompanying average acting amidst an asinine premise.

two-stars1B is for Bigfoot (Dir. Adrian Garcia Bogliano), or B is for Bad behavior of babysitter as he butt bangs a bare breasted beauty before being brutally bludgeoned by a big bad boogeyman in bona fide B-movie fashion.

three-stars15C is for  Cycle (Dir. Ernesto Diaz Espinoza), or C is for Commendable crowning copycat creation about a Timecrimes-esq clone choking clone choking clone choking…. yeah, C is for Cycle.

four-stars4D is for Dogfight (Dir. Marcel Sarmiento), or D is for Damn! Dats da best use of slow-motion in a short film that I’ve seen in some time! (pictured above) Read More…

Ready To Learn “The ABCs of Death”?

Oh Hell Yeah!  Horror/Sci-fi fans, for those of you who still have your fingers crossed for the third installment of the 3 Extremes anthology to be announced, well, don’t uncross your fingers quite yet.  Although an announcement has still not been made for what would be possibly the best trilogy of anthologies of that genre ever released, there has been an announcement of a brand new Horror/Sci-Fi anthology and the talent involved is well worth taking notice.

Ti West (The House of the Devil), Nacho Vigalando (TimeCrimes) and Srdjan Spasojevic (A Serbian Film) are just 3 of the 26 specified directors primed to be contributing to the mammoth set of horror and Sci-fi shorts appropriately titled The ABCs of Death.  Each director will be in charge of their own segment that specifically relates to a different letter of the alphabet.

The film is start to set shooting in June and as of right now is slated to have an early 2012 release.
